She got her ears pierced!

I have been talking to Brynlee for awhile now about getting her ears pierced and she always tells me "No I don't want my ears pierced." About a week or so ago her cousin Hailey got her ears pierced, when Brynlee say them she said they were beautiful but that she still didn't want her ears pierced. I dropped it till we went to the mall after her dance recital and we were walking past Clairs and a lady was getting her ears pierced so I asked Brynlee if she wanted to go and watch... she said yes. After watching I asked her if she wanted hers done and she said yes! I was kind of taken back so I asked her again and she still said yes! Well at this point I wasn't sure if I was really ready for my baby to have her ears pierced so I talked to her about it and made a point to tell her that it would hurt! We left the store so we could talk about it for awhile and she soon looked up at Kayloni and said "we need to get back to that store so I can get my ears pierced!" After much talk we went back! She was so serious while she was picking out her earrings (she wanted the ones just like Hailey)!! She knew that this was a big deal and she had a very serious look on her face the entire time! kayloni gave her a little pep talk and while doing so told Brynlee it would be ok to cry if she wanted to... well soon she sat in my lap and got it done! The ear gun clicked and she did really good. She sat there for a second and just looked at me, then she started to cry. My heart broke! I asked her if it hurt and she said 'no' so I asked her why she was crying and she said "cause Kayloni told me to." : ) She looked at herself in the mirror for quite awhile and she said"I look beautiful!" Maybe that's cause she heard me and Kayloni tell her that over and over!

All and all it went well, other than the fact that her Grandma and Grandpa were a little mad at me!! They were at the mall with us and I didn't tell them we were doing it! But come on they would have just tried to talk her out of it, so we decided that we would just surprise them with it!

Dance Recital

Ok so Brynlee had a pretty big day last Saturday! She had her very first dance recital, oh and let me just tell you it was the cutest thing ever! Again I hate how fast she is growing up but each new stage she hits is just so fun. Last year we went to Hailey's dance recital and all Brynlee wanted to do the whole time was get on the 'Big Stage.' So we signed her up for dance and she loves it so much! She looks forward to it each week! Anyways the day came and she was so excited to get to put on make up and get all dressed up to go on the long awaited 'Big Stage.' She did so good! I really thought that she would get distracted and be the one that just stands there and kinda looks sick but she sure proved me wrong. She had a big cheesy smile on the whole time and you could tell she was loving ever second of it! Also at the end of the recital a very special visitor came to say Ho Ho Ho to all of the little dancers! She was so excited and star struck to be able to meet Good Ol' Santa!
She told me that Santa told her some very special things that she couldn't tell me!!!

Doesn't she look all grown up?

DISNEYLAND

Well we just got home from a wonderful trip to Disneyland..... 3 days at the park may have been a little much for me, but Brynlee loved it so that's what counts. She got to see all of her favorite princesses and characters. I think she loved seeing Sully from monsters the very most!! Anyone that knows Brynlee well, knows she marches to her own beat. She is a very big girly girl, but her favorite movies aren't those most 3 year old girls would choose. She loves the Haunted Mansion, Pirates (Captain Jack Sparrow is her husband...), Harry Potter and now her newest favorite is Nightmare Before Christmas. So of course her two favorite rides were Pirates and The Haunted Mansion (which was all decorated like the Nightmare Before Christmas). She had a blast!!! We were way sad that Ben couldn't get off work to come with us but we made the best of it. We still had a big chunk of the family go, my brother Ryan and his family, my little sis and my parents!!! We had a great time! My mom always tends to spoil us and plan wonderful vacations... Thanks Mom (grandma)!!!

Sleeping.....

This is my favorite time of the night..... Sad but true, but by the end of the day I have battled with my little sweetheart about everthing. Wanting Otterpops for breakfast, having to wear her dressups to the store (again), debating me on everything that I say no to (and she has a lot of valid points...), and of course not wanting to got to sleep... Well before I go to bed each night I go in to make sure she has really fallen asleep, and not up playing with her toys really quite so I don't hear, and there lays my angel! I can't help but steal a few kisses, since now she gives them so rarely! I am able to watch her and know that what I am doing each day does make a difference... I am this angels mother! I am now ready for another day of battel with this sassy little girly-girl! I look forward to what new debates tomorrow will bring!

Wow She's 3!!!

Well Brynlee had her Birthday on September 30th, and she is 3 years old. We had a princess party, cause she is my little princess! (and she knows it) She had a lot of her cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and great-grandparents there. She is so loved! I have to tell everyone thanks for making it such a wonderful night for our little Brynlee! Even Ben (step daddy) was able to make the journey from Vernal to be at the party! (She was very happy about that) She was showered with many wonderful gifts and lots and lots of love! I can't believe how fast time goes! It was super fun to plan her Birthday party but I sure hope this year goes a little slower than the last one! Happy Birthday my Princess!!

Growing Up!!!

September has been a big month for me, Brynlee is starting all of the things a BIG girl would start! She is going to dance and has started preschool! Not to mention on the 30th she turns 3! It seems like it was just yesterday she needed me for everything.... now all of a sudden, she is miss independent. Where did the time go? I use to be the coolest person ever but now I compete with Miss Lisa, and Miss Valerie! (her teachers) She loves dance and never stops! Any time there is music on her body just starts moving! Preschool seems to be working wonders, she loves to talk about the Letter of the Week! She so far has done A, B, C.... She tells me many things that start with each of those letters! And we are working hard on learning the sounds that go with each of them.

Although it is sad to see her go from being my Baby Girl, to my Little Princess, I look forward to this new time and will embrace every moment of it.... Even the sassy attitude!
